I have no idea what to do with my life.

Ugh.

I hate this "stuck in limbo" feeling. I need to get out and do something decisive. Like I used to.

Regardless, what he's wearing sends an image to other people, you know. If he's willing to drop the pretense of being able to effectivelly tell a starfleet captain what to do, I'd be glad to find a way to lend him one of my military uniforms. He'd gain a better reputation.

And ignore whatever that girl who hijacked this conversation says. She's just resentful 'cause the evil trick she played on me and my computer has been recently rectified.

Images without context are not complete ones; his suggestion is still a valid one. To defend another out of care for another - one does not require a uniform for that.

Regardless of what she has done, to discredit what it is she says would be unjustified. I do not have reason to disbelieve her, much less to ignore her.
