[The camera clicks on and for the first few moments there's just a desk and a seemingly empty room. A moment later, someone begins playing scales on a violin, over and over for a few minutes. Eventually it stops and Asuka comes into frame, cradling her violin with one arm, bow held in her other hand and tapping against her shoulder. She sits down and looks into the camera for a moment, looking thoughtful.]

So, I have a webcam now. I'm not quite sure what to do with that, but I figured I might as well test it out! After all, It's been a week or so since I last posted anything. And that stupid virus is over, so I'm back to my normal, beautiful self!

[She idly twirls her chair around, staring upwards for a moment.]

Fifteen, fifteen... fünfzehn. I'm turning fifteen in a few days! Which reminds me! I'm throwing a little get together for myself at that karaoke place Minato mentioned! Everyone at the dorm can come. Even Kaworu.

[She leans towards the camera with a grin.] Johnny, you're coming too! And Jordan, you're also invited!

Anyway, that's it! Ciao!

[Asuka flashes a victory sign, then stands and moves off-screen again. The sound of scales begins anew.]

[Asuka blinks at the screen for a moment, then wipes at her eyes once more and stares at a point above the camera.]

I'm fine!

It was just my stupid alarm clock. I'll have to steal Shinji's.

[Kaworu follows the movement carefully, but does not mention it. There's something like a faint realization that seeps into his expression, though it gone too quickly to be truly caught.]

... I see. Though, that rather puts Shinji out of an alarm clock. I suppose I will have to lend him mine, in return.

[Asuka shrugs, trying to look nonchalant. She succeeds, mostly. However, she's still tense at the shoulders and her eyes are reddened slightly.]

Shinji can deal with it.

[There's a faint downward curve to his mouth; the neutrality he was aiming for no longer preferred. He shifts a little, and lays his hands on the desk, letting his posture signal a sort of receptiveness.]

Mm. [He's quiet, for a long moment. There's a faint shift in his attention as he glances over at his own alarm clock.] ... I might bring my own over, if you wish. [The shadows are sharp in his room, and a note of concern seems to settle more prominently at the corners of his mouth.]

[If she notices the change in posture and mood, she doesn't let it show. Instead, she continues to act normal. Well, as normal as it can get. She gives him an openly surprised look and then shrugs.]

...well, sure. If you want.

[He settles back into his normal posture almost seamlessly, the faint downward curve of his mouth disappearing. He seems to permit his words to take on (almost) playful edge.]

Well, it is not as though it does much to wake me. [This time, he clears his hair from his eyes. The movement is distracted, though not enough to be noticeable.] I do think you would make much more use of it, than myself. Beyond this, I might always purchase another if necessary.

[Asuka laughs. There's a mocking edge to it.] Right. The sleeping Angel. The one who can't stay awake in class.

[She sighs and crosses her arms.]

Go ahead and bring it over.

[The curve of his lips is discreet. Barely there before it is gone.]

Mm.

[He pulls himself to his feet. He's a bit more awake now, but barely. His movements are thoughtful. Almost sluggish.]

I will be there in a moment, then.

[There's a pause before he leans over. Reaches up and out of view. Soundlessly ends the transmission.]
